With something like this, Cade and Soleil, and later, Cade and Grace had sat and thought hard about what would be the perfect gift.  When you consider the kind of person Des is, and how she takes so many into her heart and takes care of so many....

It was decided to give a place for all those wee ones, the ones of her own, and the ones she takes in. The children of her friends and loved ones, her children's children some day will be able to come to this place.

So often in this world parks have become the quiet worlds of lovers and adults looking to recapture moments of youthful enjoyment in local flora and fauna.  But this was a place built for every child who ever had to stand on her toes to look over a rail to see a water fountain, or had to hold onto his father's hand when he wanted to get into an adventure as epic as a child's mind can create.

For all the children who haven't ever seen a park or heard other children's laughter, this park was made for them.

For any child who ever wanted a place to play and feel safe.

In a place that was kid-sized.

This place was made for you.

With Love, Des and Auden. This was dreamt up, designed, and made for all the future little feet that will walk the Sunhaven-Hayll lands.

The Parent's Park - northeast and southeast rectangles

The stretches of area intended for the parent's was a mix of landscaped and natural beauty in a park like setting.  A sure favorite would be the rose arbor with a swing built for two. The vines would soon burst with fragrant blooms and cover the lovebirds as they relaxed together.

Settled in a shady copse of trees was a stone and wood wishing well. It provided both water to drink from,  as well as a small place for children, and adults who are young at heart to pause for a moment and take a chance that wishes really do come true.  A metal grate was installed part way down, to keep small ones from falling in.

Found in all sections of the gift, were small burble fountains which were perfect for washing off sticky little hands, or catching a sip in a cup on a hot day.

Main Square

Archers! To the battlements!  The wooden fortress was a mini Keep with grottos and slides and bridges and a world inside it's walls that were to be unlocked only by a child's imagination.  Also in the main square: a large sand box, seesaws, and tunnel trails made from lashed together kegs.

Center of Square

In the center of it all was a full sized gazebo. The wood stain finish blended wonderfully with the surroundings.  It could be the perfect spot for a family picnic.  Rolls of netting could be pulled down to cover the sides and provide some privacy or protection from sudden summer rains.

Storybook Gardens - northwest section

The storybook gardens were a place for wee imaginations to take flight.  There were beds of oversized blooms such as sunflowers, and exciting things like snapdragons and plants that attracted butterflies of all sorts.  Living amongst the plants were several gnomes. They were there for good luck, and would help keep on wandering wee ones at play (though they tended to go for joyrides on the minidragons ).  Dotted on the fantasy-esque landscape were more playstructures.  A large ship that could have sailed off the pages of a book, and two playhouses for little boys and little girls.

The Plaza - southwest section

This area was under construction still, and held room for future possibilities.  Already there was the oversized checkers/chess board tiled in.  The larger flat surface would be ideal for a carousel.  The McCade's would gladly have one installed if that was Des and Auden's wish.
