Hand-crafted in an age old Nethyrin tradition. The finest quality cowhide available in the world is used to create these luxurious, leather covers. Artisans skillfully tool the leather using techniques that have been passed down through the years. The centerpiece is a gold fleur de lis (meaning flower of the lily), a design that dates back to the 3rd millennium BC, playing the role of a royal attribute. The covers are finished in a lustrous, chestnut brown moire fabric. The 100 heavy paper sheets are exceptionally fine quality, separated by a patterned interleave.

These remarkable albums are made in small shops in Nethyrin, where families work together with the finest cowhides available worldwide, they skillfully tool the leather using traditional methods passed down for generations. The front cover is bas-relief, embossed by using an ancient technique consisting of hot irons and pressure. The binding is also a work of art with a gold leaf embossed design as well as tooling on the spine. Measuring 14” x 17” overall, each album contains 120 pages (60 sheets) of heavy ivory paper. Every page is separated with patterned vellum. The covers are lined with a brown silk moiré.
