SGoD Obstacle Course ~ Sample Run

TheLdyDES: ::The starting line is at the head of the trail that leads to the pond, it starts off fairly level, the surface wide and smooth.::

TheLdyDES: You've reached the first obstacle, a 20 foot rope bridge stretched between two trees, the bottom rope being about 5 feet off the ground. You have to go up a short  rough ladder, cross the bridge, and then jump down into a mound of sawdust.

Leetah 666: ::Slows to a halt, then jogs in place, waves to Mystie, and does the cabbage patch back at her. Then she hears Des.:: WAIT!.. What about us short folk here?!

VvScorpionKissvV: *Blinks!* Don't stop Hon! Get up that ladder and GO! GO!GO!

Leetah 666: ::Just eyes that short ladder, thinking it don't look to safe. A snap of her fingers, three steps back and a dead run..

TheLdyDES: Leaving the sawdust the trail first heads gently downhill, then narrows as it turns steeply uphill, becoming much rougher as it twists and turns.

LoranysDarksbane: ::the drowess strolled into the area where the course was claimed to be established, clad heavily in warm clothes and wearing a dark strip of sheer material over her eyes to mask out as much of the searing light as possible::

Leetah 666: ::Clinging on for dear life she makes the mistake of looking down..well that just turned her tummy a bit. Dashing off she needed to get to that next obstacle..no more hieghts for her.::

TheLdyDES: The second obstacle is a spruce tree with a bell hanging from just below it's 20 foot top. The bell must be rung before you can proceed. There is no rope attached to the bell.

TheLdyDES: ((Need to roll 8 or better on 1D10))

Leetah 666: ::Sets down next to the tree and just blinks at Des.:: This is not an Elf Friendly Event.

Leetah 666: ::An expert surfer she guided her board to land and hit the obstacle:::..something on the ground please!

TheLdyDES: The third obstacle is a cargo net from the "Defiance."  The net is strung up over a 10 foot high branch. You must go up one side of the net and down the other.

Leetah 666: ::Just gives Des a look.:: We need to talk later. ::Spits on her hands and sets to climbing up one side.::

TheLdyDES: Past the net the trail peters out, vanishing in a deeply forested section. From here the course is marked by red flags tied around the trunks of the trees. The brush is thick, and there are scattered clumps of thorn bushes.

Leetah 666: ::This was kinda fun, 'cept for them cruel inelfen obstacles..she skips on down the road, trying to get her butt to even out then starts another dead run.::

TheLdyDES: The fourth obstacle requires a keen eye. Scattered and hidden near a huge old oak are Qcoins. Before you can proceed you must be sharp eyed enough to collect 8 coins.

TheLdyDES: :: Past the oak the forest gives way an open field, you've circled back and are now on the outer edge of the guild Training Field. Markers lead the way towards a table with strung bow and a quiver of arrows, a target set up beyond them.

TheLdyDES: The final obstacle, and indeed the end of the race is simply shooting a single arrow into the target from 50 feet away. All that is needed is for the arrow to stick somewhere into the target for the race to be over. If a bulls-eye is hit, 1 minute will be deducted from the total running time.
