Description:
This activity requires agility, dexterity and timing from the individuals wishing to participate and is open to all registered participants of the Rainy Daze Event. Participants will need a kayak - either one of their own or one that's provided (made by The Seventh Sea ) and will be going down the Shadow Spire river through a number of obstacles until they reach the end.
2-4 people can participate in this activity at a time. Participants can be from the same guild. Proctor is not able to participate in this activity. There is a 2 minute action rule and a 5 minute punt rule.
[ Note: We respectfully ask that if you have two characters registered, one on AIM and one on AOL, that you do not proctor and match at the same time. Thank you. ]

Course Obstacles:
Obstacle 1 - White Water Rapids
Obstacle 2 - First Cascade with a Ring Grab
    Obstacle 3 - Narrow Ravine
    Obstacle 4 - River Bend
    Obstacle 5 - Double Cascades
    Obstacle 6 - Course End
[ To see the course, click the link at the bottom of the page. ]

Rules:
    1. Participants will roll a 1d10 initiative to dictate who goes first.
    2. Participants will go in order of initiative rolls, determined by proctor.
    3. Participants will roll a 5d30 for their speed through the course.
    4. Score is accumulative and is the speed going into the next round.
            Example:
Loranys rolls 5d30 and gets 15, 6, 20, 24, 2. Her speed (score) going into the second round would be: 67.
    5. A participant needs to have a sum of their rolls be 30+ each roll to see if the obstacle was completed. This is a roll for dexterity.
            - If 30+ is not met, the obstacle is considered 'incomplete' and falls from their kayak.
-The 30+ is determined -after- any doubles and/or triples are calculated.
    6. If a participant rolls doubles of any number, they get a -10 deduction from their speed score. If more than one set of doubles is rolled, both count as deductions.
    7. If a participant rolls three of a kind of any number, they get +10 added to their speed score.
    8. If a person does not complete an obstacle, it is assumed that they climbed back in and continued through the obstacles given.
    9. Participant with the highest speed score at the end of the 6 obstacles will be the winner.
