Presents the Fourth Annual

With Autumn's bounty all carefully stored away and the fields and
forests covered with the first of Winter's snow, it was time for
more preparations to begin. Whether it was the celebration of the
Solstice or Winter's Eve, Yule or Christmas, most of the inhabitants
of the realms celebrated something in the coming season. And a
celebration always calls for feasting and gift giving, and that
calls for shopping.
Anordaldae Market
Sunday, November 18th
8:30 pm est
Mountain Market
( AIM accessible )
The festivities were being held in a large barn in the heart of Anordaldae, part of the Shadow Guardian Stables.
The outside was well lit with lanterns and a large bonfire
gave warmth and light to the tableau. Grooms and
servants were ready and waiting to help arriving merchants and shoppers
unload and disembark from their wagons or carriages. The
stable was set aside as a warm place for the various steeds to wait
for their owners to finish shopping. For those that
chose to, belled sleigh rides were being given from the nearest pier
up to the market.
The indoor training ring of the barn had been transformed. Cedar
sawdust scattered over the packed earth floor adding a woodsy aroma. Garlands of pine and
holly were draped from the rafters with clusters of mistletoe
hanging from the beams in strategic locations. Trestle tables had
been set up along the walls for the different vendors. A fiddler
from the northern mountains played to entertain the guests.
Copper burning
barrels kept the interior cozy. From one, a pair of young teens were
offering roasted chestnuts, and there was a table with cups of
mulled wine, hot toddies, and cider for the offering.
Along one end of the barn, pine trees with their roots bundled were
offered for sale. For
20
qcoins given to LAP, one could be taken home and decorated
for the holidays.
